Lamoille County Tire Drop-Off
Another Success

We are pleased to report that due to the incredible generosity of residents from Stowe and from across Lamoille County, we collected approximately 400 safe, reusable tires for the 2017 Wheels for Warmth Tire Sale.

The Wheels for Warmth program is an annual event in its 13th year.  It is a creative, convenient way for Vermonters to help those in need of heating assistance through the cold winter months.  The program collects used tires, and those that pass the DMV inspection are sold at the Wheels for Warmth Tire Sale each year at affordable prices.  And, the donors of those tires that are not still usable, pay just $4.00 per tire to dispose of them responsibly.

And, all of these proceeds go to the Wheels for Warmth program for heating fuel assistance distribution to Vermonters in need by community action councils throughout the state.

Wheels for Warmth 2017 was Generously Sponsored by:
VSECU, Casella Waste Systems, AT&T, Vianor Tire, WDEV/Radio VT Group, Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing, People’s United Bank, Bourne’s Energy, Pomerleau Real Estate, AGC, Dubois Construction, and Casella Construction, Inc.

Wheels for Warmth - A Win-Win-Win
Support emergency fuel assistance for Vermont families in need
Provide DMV-inspected, affordable tires ($30 and less) to Vermonters in need
Recycle unwanted tires, reducing the number in our rivers and along our roadways
